Hi, I'm Lars! I'm a 3rd year undergraduate student at the University of California, Davis studying Computer Engineering. I'm passionate about applications of software and hardware for improving global food systems through innovation in agriculture.

I currently work in the Plant AI and Biophysics Lab at UC Davis with a focus on the GEMINI (G×E×M Innovation in Intelligence for Climate Adaptation) Project. You can learn more about the GEMINI Project and our goals here. I plan to pursue a PhD in Computer Engineering to further my expertise in connecting technological advancement to agriculture.

In addition, I'm the President of the Cycling Club at UC Davis. Because of this, my prior repair experiences have been heavily cycling-oriented. I've replaced and patched inner tubes, converted bikes to tubeless tires and electronic shifting, and bled hydraulic brakes on many occasions. In the future, I'd like to gain even more comfort with bicycle repairs and find ways to avoid the need for expensive proprietary tools for each repair.

Outside of the repair experience I've gained from cycling, I'm passionate about the benefits of cycling for mental and physical health. The rhythmic nature of the sport and opportunities to see beautiful environments and animals keeps me connected to the sport. I'm always happy to talk cycling with anyone who wants to!
