• Major — Computer Science Sophomore @ UMASS-Dartmouth
    • I went into Computer Science after starting my freshman year in Biomedical Engineering and finding I had an interest in coding.
  • Aspirations — After graduation, I hope to be able to bring my computer skills into the medical field, potentially to help with hospital systems. Of course, I would also love if I could eventually get to a point that I may work for home, when it is time for me to start a family.
  • Skills — I have experience working as a team and with a few computer languages, such as Java and C/C++.
  • Repair experience — I don't think it would be right to say I have ever fixed anything; however, I have taken my personal laptop apart once or twice to clean out the fan so that gives me some experience with taking laptops apart. I would also like to learn more about the hardware of the device itself.
  • Accolades — I have been on my universities Dean List and have been the recipient of a couple of scholarships.
  • Groups/memberships — I am a member of my university's Women in STEM organization.
  • Hobbies — My hobbies consist of a mix of media. I like reading a mix of genres and have an affinity for movies old and new.
  • How does this project relate to you? — Professionally, the project will help me further my technical communication skills. Personally, the project will add to my interest in computer systems and hopefully help me learn a little more about hardware.
  • Any other fun facts you’d like to add? — My favorite movie genre is horror and as long as there are subtitles, I will watch non-English movies. Additionally, I have read 20 books so far this year, 4 of which were short stories.
