Hi! My name is Michelle Pride and I like fixing things! I am a rising junior at the University of Memphis and working towards a bachelor's degree in in Computer and Electrical Engineering.
I have the sweetest Japanese Akita named Chopper and I love chocolate.
I love camping! Above is a picture I took on one of my favorite camping trips to the Shawnee Forest in Southern Illinois. I also enjoy taking on pig puzzles and playing adventure video games, so I pay close attention to small details.
This summer I have plans to begin my internship with the Marine Corps System Command in Quantico, VA. With this my degree I have a lot of technical and theoretical work with circuitry, software development, and signal processing. My passion for engineering comes from my love of helping others, and engineering helps everyday people in so many ways. That is why I look forward to creating iFixit Guides that will make life a little easier.

I am a fast learner and incredibly creative, so my repertoire is sure to grow from here. I hope to get better at repair things like retro gaming consoles and headphones. Although this profile is part of a group project I have for school, I hope to provide and receive plenty of useful repair knowledge past just this project.
