Hey, my name is Mofe Martins-Donus and I'm a student at York University studying Information Technology.

Since I was a kid I’ve always been curious about how computers, technology and different software worked. I would play around with different buttons and settings on my TV, and computer to figure out their functions. As the first born of immigrant parents who aren’t the most technologically inclined I became the person to call whenever they or my siblings needed help fixing technical issues. Whether it was fixing the internet connection, downloading and running new apps, or navigating settings to fix a problem, I learned to be pretty tech inclined and teach others around me how to solve their technology issues.

In high school I took Introduction to Computer Science classes in grade 11 and 12, which got me interested in coding and pursuing a career in software development. Although I didn’t end up studying Computer Science, I was exposed to learning about different career paths in tech through studying Information Technology. I look forward to gaining experience in the space to know what specific career path I want to take beyond software development.

I don’t have a lot of experience repairing things but I look forward to learning. I want to learn to repair my game controllers with stick drift, build PCs, repair laptops, fix cars and many other things.
