Introduction

Use this guide to replace the brushroll and brushroll belt for the Shark Rocket HV322 if the brushroll and/or brushroll belt are damaged or not functioning properly.

The brushroll belt connects the brushroll motor to the brushroll, allowing the brushroll to spin. The function of the brushroll pick up debris on carpets and hard surfaces.

Before beginning, make sure the vacuum is turned off and unplugged.

    • Make sure vacuum is turned off and unplugged before starting.

    • Push down on the black wand release lever to remove the motorized floor nozzle.

    • Rotate the three locks that secure the brushroll cover with a spudger.

    • Remove the brushroll cover.

    • The locks will click when they have reached the "unlock" position.

    • Remove the ten 9.4 mm Torx T8 screws on the bottom side of the motorized floor nozzle.

    • Remove the brushroll cover.

    • Remove the four 10.6 mm Philips #1 screws from the clear plastic brushroll cover.

    • Remove the brushroll belt from floor nozzle motor by sliding it off of the gear.

    • Be careful not to damage the brushroll belt if it is in good condition when removing it.

    • Remove the two 13.1 mm Phillips #1 screws from the brushroll motor.

    • Remove the clear plastic cover from the motorized floor nozzle.

    • The brushroll and brushroll belt will slide out during this step
