Introduction

This guide shows how to peel up the tape on the SSD shield.

    • If the tape is difficult to remove, use an iOpener or hair dryer to lightly heat it. Be careful not to overheat the tape or the surrounding components.

    • Use the point of a spudger to peel up the tape enough that you can grip it with a pair of tweezers or your fingers.

    • Peel the tape off of the shield.

    • You don't need to fully remove the tape—it can stay attached to one of the metal shields.
