Introduction
This guide will walk the reader through the process of replacing the hands of an 1102 series Citizen watch using an iFixit jimmy, tweezers, and a needle. This repair will require minimal knowledge of watches, and can be performed in approximately 10-15 minutes.

Locate the notch under the back cap of the watch. Wedge the jimmy into the notch, and pry off the back.

Remove the crown stalk by placing the needle in the release notch. This will release stalk and allow it to slide out.

Now that the watch hands are repaired, the watch can be reset manually so that the it can keep the correct time.

This would be so confusing for a novice. No image of the release lever and where to press the needle to get the crown out. Use a hand remover to remove hands, cheap enough to buy, not tweezers and a ‘jimmy tool’. No advice about protection on the dial to avoid scratches. ‘Place hands one after the other’, No mention on what to press them on with and how. This part could kill your movement if not done correctly. I have just removed the hands on my Invicta diver as they where not fitted correctly. Replacing them is not that simple without the correct tools. Even a cheap hand press does the job.
