Introduction

With frequent use and the heavy weight of clutter, cabinet drawer slides can easily deform, causing the drawer to not slide smoothly. We present a guide that will explain how to replace a drawer slide of a cabinet drawer.

    • Pull the drawer out.

    • Emptying the drawer is optional but recommended.

    • Use a screwdriver and remove the screw connecting the drawer slide bracket to the drawer.

    • Repeat the previous bullet for both sides.

    • Pull off the drawer slide bracket from the internal railing.

    • Remove the screws on the internal railing that needs to be replaced by twisting the screwdriver counterclockwise.

    • Hold up the new internal railing against the cabinet wall and screw it in using the same screws and by twisting the screwdriver clockwise.

    • The drawer slide should be facing towards the ceiling and then place the ball bearing runner directly into it, so it fits snugly.

    • Align the new drawer slide with the ball bearing runner onto the internal railing and snap them into place.

    • Check that the drawer slide glides in and out properly.

    • Screw the drawer slide back onto the drawer by turning the screwdriver clockwise.

    • Do this for both sides.
