Hello! My name is Deric Howard and I’m a senior at California State University Sacramento(CSUS).

I'm majoring in English with a focus on technical and professional writing, with hopes of pursuing my Master's in the same field in order to produce industry related work.
I have experience working with E-waste recycling and have an interest in taking apart electronics, but haven’t had much experience in repairs or mechanical design. Regardless, I have a passion for communication and problem solving, so I’ll be happy to contribute to IFixit in any way I can.
Having worked around E-waste, I believe that E-waste is a much more local problem than many people realize. I hope that by making guides for IFixit I can raise awareness both for my community here in Sacramento and others around the world affected by E-waste disposal.
