Hello, my name is Christian Diaz.
I am attending Austin Community College and seeking an Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Design. I chose this major so that I could work in the engineering field and work to create solutions to the problems people face in their every day life. Though just getting started in my field, I am confident in my abilities going forward, as I have always had a problem-solving drive.
I have never been afraid to take something that is broken, open it up, and see if there's anything I can do to repair it. This has led me to a lot of experience in general device maintenance on a variety of different types of devices, from brakes and belts on my car, to foot-pedal wiring on a sewing machine, to the heating element in my coffee machine, to the electronic components of my electric guitars.
This image shows the internal wiring of my Samick Malibu, which I worked to rebuild in 2022 after one of the pickups stopped responding. As a hobby guitarist, being able to repair and reconstruct my instruments is invaluable to me, as it saves me the money of seeking professional repair services. This is especially important as I don't seek to earn any money from my playing, its just a hobby that I enjoy.
My Dog, Lani.
I've always been dog person. I believe dogs to be a source of positivity in the world, overflowing with compassion and joy. I strive to live my life in a way to emulate that same positivity and to be a source of compassion and joy for the people around me.
