Hi! My name is Jess and I'm a Junior at Utah Tech University.

I am a Communication major with a passion for public health. My goal is to do drug and alcohol prevention in communities. I have been doing this since I was in the 8th grade and I am a certified Prevention Specialist. While this may not seem to correlate with device repairs, a lot of what we do is grant writing and creating promotional materials. This means Technical Writing is essential.

I am especially passionate about repair and sustainability. Growing up my family didn't have a lot of money so innovation and repair were essential. I learned a lot about mechanics and electronics. This prepared me for leading my school's build team for the Science Olympiad each year and repairing my own devices as an adult.

In my free time, I love to create in any way possible. I love creative writing, drawing, painting, costume design, sewing, and designing new things. One of my recent accomplishments was creating a Jelly Bean dispenser for my sugar-obsessed sister out of cardboard, Costco containers, and hot glue.
