Hello!

My name is Sonakshi Bhatia, and I'm an upcoming senior at the University of North Texas. I'm a pre-med majoring in Kinesiology (BS) with a double minor in biology and chemistry. I chose this major because I thought it would give me a unique insight into the medical field during my undergraduate years, and I've been enjoying learning about science as it applies to our body and movements. I am currently working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in order to get hands-on experience with patients.

As many of my class and clinical experiences have been surrounded by orthopedic rehabilitation and sports medicine, I'm really interested in the field of orthopedics and pursuing a career as a surgeon.

Hobbies

Outside of my medically-related academics, I'm also a member of the UNT Wind Orchestra, where I play the bassoon. In addition to participating in an ensemble, I enjoy expanding my musical knowledge by taking private lessons. I love to travel, go on hikes, and watch kdramas.
