Hello, my name is Henry Xu!
Ever since I was young, I’ve been enamored with the visual arts, from illustration, to animation, to graphic design. I recently enrolled at UC Davis and am now pursuing a design major. I believe that visual communication has and will continue to transform the world, and want to continue to develop my skills and experience to become a graphic designer who can improve the lives of others.
Throughout my life, I’ve had a lot of experience with repair, mainly through my family. My father is a firm believer in self-repair to save resources and money, and through our Airbnb business, I’ve been able to assist my family in the handling and repair of different household items, such as beds, tables, and doors. It’s not easy to commit to repair, but I believe that it’s helped me become more self-sustaining, and developed skills such as following directions and the use of certain tools and materials. Through the iFixit program, I hope to use my own experiences in repair and design to help the users of this site.
