Greetings! My name is Elijah Esmeralda, and I am currently a third year student at the University of California Davis, majoring in Chemical Engineering.
Having been born and raised on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, I would like to use my knowledge of chemical engineering to help pave the path forward regarding the research and use of clean and renewable energy sources. While that is one of my more specific goals, in general, I have always been fascinated by the development and improvement of new and already existing technologies.
Two years ago, I finally had the opportunity to put together my own desktop computer - with the help of a friend. This was a great experience for me as this really sparked my interest in computer hardware, and getting the hands on experience of putting all of these components together to build one machine was incredibly fun! Since then, I have gained a plethora of knowledge about computers, both on the software and hardware sides. In the future, I am hoping to be involve in the computer hardware industry so that I can further expand my knowledge of this field.
