Hi, my name is Ben Rocha! I am an undergraduate Computer Engineering student at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I chose this major as I have always been good at working on computers and have enjoyed doing so, as a result I wanted to go into the Computer Engineering field. I hope to one day work in the cybersecurity industry at a cybersecurity company, doing fulfilling work to help protect people's online security. I have some coding skills, being proficient in C, C#, and Linux system development. I would say my primary skill I have honed in university is working on circuits. Below are a few images of circuits I have built in one of my classes.
My main experience I've had when it comes to repairing things are the numerous repairs I've done on my personal computer at home. I've replaced the graphics card, the power supply, added secondary storage, added a second fan, etc. I have gotten the chancellor's scholarship at the university and maintained throughout my tenure. My main hobbies are watching and playing sports, going to the gym, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with my family and friends. This project and site as a whole relates to me because ever since the start of my college career, my main goal has been to be more independent, and I believe that being able to fix things that break is an essential skill for independent adults to have!
The last thing I'd like to add is that...I have a dog named sami!
