Hello! My name is Christa Day!

I currently attend Austin Community College, majoring in Cybersecurity. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, graduating summa cum laude from Texas State University, as well as an Associate's degree in Art.

After being a photographer for last 5 years. I decided to make a career change, and move in to the tech field. Pursuing a certification as an entry-level Python programmer over the summer was a significant step in this journey, further expanding my technical expertise. Additionally, I am currently working towards a cybersecurity certification with ISC2.

To me, technology is not just a tool; it's magic. I feel deeply connected to something powerful whenever I engage with it. This a a major reason I got to into photography and the analytical and technical aspects of it.

While I'm still new to the tech field, I have enjoyed the classes I have been taking. Not only do I see a link to computers with my photography but also in my psychology background.

I am also exited about leveraging my background in psychology to better understand human behavior in the context of cybersecurity. My education in psychology has equipped me with valuable insights into human motives and patterns, which I believe are crucial for analyzing and predicting cyber threats.

When I am not working on school work or other projects, you can find me watching movies at the theater, playing with my cats, or hiking out in nature. I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, either around Austin or beyond it.

Furthermore, through this project, I would like to advance my technical writing skills as well as cultivate a greater sense of environmental responsibility. I aspire to do more household repairs and maintenance. I believe in contributing to waste reduction and environmental conservation.
