My name is Kylie Wong and I am a student at University of California, Davis. I am a third year Psychology and Design double major. I chose these majors because I am interested in how design and the mind interact, such as in interaction design. In the future I hope to pursue a career in UI/UX design, or another field that involves human interaction and design in some capacity. A project I am proud of completing is the flyer I designed to promote APO last term. I also completed a building block project the other day, it was more difficult than I thought it would be but I had a lot of fun working on it. Something I have fixed is my bracelet. I once broke the clasp of my bracelet, and I bought a new clasp and used pliers to fasten it on. Another thing I fixed is the sink when it got clogged. I had a plastic snake tool I stuck down the drain and gradually scraped any of the debris that had made the drain clogged. On campus, I am in a professional service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, we volunteer around the Davis community and host leadership and social events. I am also involved in Design Interactive, a UI/UX design club.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking up new recipes, visiting museums or anything experience based, hanging out with friends and traveling. My favorite foods are noodles, I love to cook or eat pasta, udon, ramen, chow mein and more. I also love listening to music and discovering new music artists. Recently, I have been listening to Niki and Dominic Fike. This project relates to me as things break all the time, and having the skills to fix them rather than throw them away or replace them. This would not only be cost effective but good for the environment, which is something I care about. Professionally, this project will help me understand what is important when creating a guide or something that has to be very easy to understand, whether that be wording instructions, format or including photos.
