Hello. My name is Kevin Barbosa. I am a junior at UMASS Dartmouth with a major in computer science. I selected this major because it is something I am passionate about since I love computers and video games. I hope to be a software engineer that can create products that will entertain users.
I remember back in the day when I didn't even know what the internet really was and I only played games locally with my brothers. Soccer is my favorite sport and we used to play FIFA all the time. It's moments like this that made me fall in love with video games.
After getting my first computer and building it with a friend in 2020, I have had so much fun talking to my friends and playing video games with them. It has become a part of my life that I cherish. Even just doing homework or watching stuff on my computer is cool. Because of how useful it is and how often I use it in life, I am interested in learning about it more in the computer science major.
I have received special recognition by the means of receiving the AP Scholar with Honor Award, Summa Cum Laude in high school, and Chancellor's List in college.
This project experience will help me personally by challenging my knowledge to new information and teach me how to fix personal items for the goal of a healthier world.
