Hi, my name is Caylin Haffner. I am a freshman at Linn-Benton Community College, majoring in Biology. I want to become a veterinary technician, but also want to get a bachelors degree, which is why I am majoring in biology.
I want to be a veterinary technician because I love animals. In fact, I have 2 dogs and here is a picture of them!
I feel as though, that I will be good at handling the animals I work with along with working well with the veterinarian. I want a job in which my love of animals will be useful.
Accomplishments:
- At my 8th grade promotion ceremony, I gave a speech in front of everyone. This was a big accomplishment for me because I have never enjoyed speaking in front of large groups of people.
- I passed the AP Calculus BC test during my senior year of high school. Taking an AP class was a big step for me because I was worried that I wouldn't succeed, but I proved myself wrong.
Awards:
- I won Student of the Month, through the Eugene Rotary Club, during my senior year of high school. My high school counselor nominated me for this award because of my grades and dedication in high school. Here is a picture with my grandma from the day I received this award.
Repair Experience:
- I do not have any experience in repairing anything. However, I am interested in learning how to repair a computer throughout this term.
Hobbies:
- I enjoy baking. I always want to make cookies for other people and deliver them.
- I also enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, and just being out in nature.
- Family time is also very important to me.
- Sunsets are one of my favorite things to watch. So, I attached a picture of a sunset from a hill near Battle Ground, Washington.
