Hi! My name is Jay Michalek. I attend the University of North Texas. I'm now a senior in my last semester studying English with a concentration in creative writing and a minor in technical writing.

I aspire to become a content creator for a company. I also aspire to have a book published one day.

To be fairly honest, I am not much of a builder and haven't built many complex things in my life. I have sewn things and put together minor pieces of furniture like a gaming chair. My skills mostly lie in editing and language. I have also been studying Japanese for two years and am proud of the skills and proficiency level I've learned.

As far as my repair experience goes, I have little. I've assisted my father with some car repairs but that's about as far as it goes. Admittedly, I am not much of a technical person.

In the past, I have won several awards in the field of academia. During my time at UNT, I have made the President's list every semester. In middle school, I won several academic UIL awards.

I do not belong to any groups or memberships at this point in time. I spend most of my time working at my job at Whole Foods and studying for college. However, I do have several hobbies. My hobbies include reading, writing poetry and non-fiction, hiking, camping, yoga, practicing Japanese, and cooking just to name a few.

Here is a pic from one of my camping trips and of me in a traditional robe from Japan:
