Raphael Bret-Mounet

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and expect to graduate in June 2024. Previously, I received my Honors Associate of Science in Computer Science from Diablo Valley College in May 2022.

I chose to major in Computer Engineering because I have a passion for using technology to solve complex problems. My ultimate goal is to develop firmware/software for embedded systems in the Aerospace industry.

I bring a diverse set of technical skills to the table, including proficiency in C++, Git, HTML & CSS, and Windows & Mac OS. I am also familiar with Python, Java, SQL, Verilog, and other programming languages. Additionally, I have experience with machine learning, neural networks, and FPGA design. My soft skills include strong problem-solving abilities, excellent attention to detail, and effective teamwork.

I have completed several exciting projects demonstrating my technical abilities. For example, I led the development of a solar-powered birdhouse equipped with a camera and a web server that can be accessed remotely. I was also the team manager for a Minecraft plugin that allows players to create teams, assign players to them, and keep track of the team's score on a Minecraft server. These projects have helped me gain valuable experience in circuit design, C++, solar power, 3D printing, Java programming, and plugin development. I have also competed in a Robotics Tournament and placed 3rd.

My experience working as a warehouse associate at Amazon has provided me with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and fixing problems with autonomous robots. I also have plenty of repair experience with devices at home such as smartphones and computers.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring new technology and building projects. I also enjoy playing video games, working on my motorcycle, and exploring the wilderness. I have a love for pets and have three cats and one African Grey parrot at home.
