Hello! My name is Christian Kim. My time with iFixit started in July 2017. I translate popular contents such as Apple and Samsung devices' Repair Guides and Teardowns from English to Korean. Working mostly remote, I am proud to say my contribution will help change the world once device at a time.

안녕하세요! 저는 Christian Kim입니다. 2017년 7월부터 iFixit에서 활동을 시작했습니다. 애플과 삼성 기기의 수리 안내서, 분해도 등 인기 콘텐츠를 영어에서 한국어로 번역하는 일을 하고 있습니다. 주로 재택 근무를 하고 있으며, 제 기여가 세상을 한 번에 한 기기씩 바꾸는 데 도움이 된다는 사실에 자부심을 느끼고 있습니다.

Moving from the South Korea, I attended Burbank High School. Studied and took multiple science courses in the field of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. However, settled and graduated with B.S. Crop Science. While working in San Luis Obispo, I commuted to Mill Valley, CA (about 4 hour drive, one way) for about three years and earned Master in Theological Study from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (now Gateway Seminary).

저는 고등학교 1학년 때 한국에서 이민을 왔습니다. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo에서 작물 과학을 공부하고 학사 학위를 받았습니다. 졸업하기 전에 여러 컴퓨터 과학 및 전기 공학 코스를 수강하기도 했습니다. San Luis Obispo의 현지 은행에서 정규직으로 일하면서 약 3년 동안 Mill Valley(편도 약 4시간 거리)로 통학하여 Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary(현 Gateway Seminary)에서 신학 석사 학위를 취득했습니다.

I am not an expert repairer. I regularly replace oil and fluid for my cars at home. I have replaced batteries and screens for apple devices. Water faucet replacement is on my to do list. I admire professionals and experts who extends devices' life.

저는 수리 전문가는 아닙니다. 집에서 자동차의 오일과 오일류를 정기적으로 교체하고 있습니다. Apple 기기의 배터리와 스크린을 교체한 적이 있습니다. 수도꼭지 교체는 해야 할 일 목록에 있습니다. 기기의 수명을 연장하는 수리 전문가를 존경합니다.

I enjoy watching movies and collecting physical media: DVDs and Blu-rays. I grow several vegetables in pots: green onion, peppers, sesame, and tomatoes. Every a few years I visit Korea for a month.
