Introduction

This guide explains the process of disassembling the My Arcade Pocket Player Pro. It is a simple piece of hardware, so the teardown process is pretty straight-forward.

    • Using a Phillips #0 bit, remove the screws holding in the battery covers. Then, pull down on the covers using the tabs, and remove any batteries if need be.

    • Using the PH0 screwdriver, remove the screws highlighted in red, then use the iFixit opening tool to pry the yellow cover away from the back shell, to unclip them. Lift the cover out of the shell.

    • Using a pair of angled tweezers, remove the wriststrap and top buttons.

    • Unscrew the screws highlighted in red. Then, lift up the screen's ribbon cable connector, use tweezers to remove the cable, and lift out the motherboard.

    • Using angled tweezers, lift out the buttons, and the D-Pad membrane, then use your fingers to lift out the LCD. It is not glued to anything.
