Remove the eight Phillips #0 screws from the back panel of the laptop.

Use your hands and an iFixit opening tool to carefully pry and remove the back panel of the laptop.

Remove the four Phillips #0 screws securing the speakers.

Gently move the speakers aside to create working space.

Carefully unplug the wires connecting the battery to the motherboard.
