Introduction
This guide is for those with a Sony VAIO PCG-3E2L laptop that no longer holds charge or their battery is damaged. This guide will walk you through the process of replacing it for a factory new performace. Before starting, power off your laptop and disconnect it from any power source. This replacement requires a new aftermarket battery and takes approximately 2 minutes. Follow these steps carefully to restore your laptop's battery life.

First, locate the battery compartment found at the top, underneath the machine.

Find the switch locks which is shown in the image and use your thumbs to push both inwards together to lift open the cover.

Put back on the cover while holding the lock switches inward to properly install the cover back securely.

Check to make sure the lock switch are back into the lock position and the battery cover is flush with the rest of the laptop frame.

All that is required is for you to power off your laptop and disconnect it from any power source, then flip it around to open the battery cover using the lock switches with both thumbs, then swap the battery in the same orientation and install back the battery cover and secure it with the lock switches before resuming normal operations.
