Introduction

If you are having audio issues such as static, distorted or just having no sound at all, your laptop speakers may be faulty and needs to be replaced. Use this guide to the replace your speakers in your Lenovo IdeaPad 1-14lGL05. The tools needed are a Philips #0 screwdriver and an opening tool.

    • Place the device on a flat surface with the lower case facing up.

    • Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the ten 3 mm Phillip screws that secure the lower case.

    • Pry around the entire perimeter of the lower case until it fully releases.

    • Use two opening tools or your fingernails to gently "walk" the speaker connector directly out of its motherboard socket.

    • Lift the right speaker up and out of the chassis.

    • Lift the left speaker up and out of the chassis.
