Put the toilet seat in an upright position.

Loop the rubber band through the round screw hole in one of the safety bumpers.

Place the longest flat side of the safety bumper against the bottom of the toilet seat adjacent to any existing bumper.

Loop the rubber band around the toilet seat so the safety bumper sits flush and securely against the seat.

Confirm the placement of the safety bumper and adjust it if necessary. Return the seat to the upright position.

Using a 5/64” drill bit, drill a hole in the center of the slotted hole, not more than ⅜ inch deep.

Place one of the screws into the drilled hole and use the screwdriver to tighten the screw only halfway in to allow for adjustments.

Remove the rubber band.

Repeat mounting instructions on the other side of the toilet seat.

Lower the seat and check that safety bumpers are aligned on both sides.

Use the screwdriver to tighten both slotted screws.

Screw the anchor screws into round holes.
