Introduction

If the bike is not performing at its maximum capability, its battery may be corroded, and you should replace it as soon as possible. Before beginning this guide, you will need power tools or a chemical remover to deal with Teflon tape on the screws.

    • Remove the four, 12mm Hex #3 screws located on the bottom half of the battery compartment.

    • There are four screws that need to remove. Two on one side and the two on the opposite side.

    • Remove the adhesive holding the wires tightly.

    • You can use a sharp object to score the adhesive before pulling.

    • Pull on both sides of the wire connections.

Battery needed ....where did you find it

I’m also looking for this battery. I Emailed hover-1 they said they do sell it.

Can anyone give me an idea of where to go to get this battery.

    Thanks

That looks easy enough to do. My problem is finding a replacement battery. Do you have any idea where they are available?

David Schultze -

David did you happen to find one? Please let me know I've been looking for one

If anyone find a 1:1 replacement battery for this, or at the very least a wiring diagram, please post it as it's near impossible to find anything on this thing in 2022.

So the yellow and a red are for the ignition and the other red and black ig is a standard ground and positive with the white being I think the temperature sensore wire. Hope this helps also trying to find a replacement and may try wiring one up.

Cannot find a battery ANYWHERE. Looks like I'm replacing the scooter with a more reputable brand like Segway

Wow, so I’m not the only one that’s having trouble finding a battery. %#*@ that sucks. I even went as far as trying to contact the maker of the battery, but none of the websites in English,

Try checking this out because the batteries aren’t branded by Hover-1:

Possible Compatible Battery

I hope it helps someone… It’s pretty expensive but it’s the closest I’ve found so far. Compare it with your battery and see if it’s the same. Good luck!

My battery is not in this location other is a control box. the fat bar that is attached to the front forks and goes to the rear wheels has 4 screws at the front. I removed them and tried to take top cover off. Cover would not come off. I read that you cannot remove battery. Do u have a clue? Thanks Tommy

Thomas Watts -

Thomas Watts I meant to say where u say the battery is located in the front forks when I removed the cover my scooter has a control box. Where else could battery be at. Like I said the cross bar from the front forks to rear wheel would be the only other place and when I removed the 4 screws I could not get cover off. It was a new present gifted to me. Has never been abused. It is as new condition. I am trying to locate Manuel that came with it. Thanks
