Introduction

The HP Pavilion dv4-1120us laptop uses an HDD 2.5 inches hard drive with a SATA interface. And can also be replaced for a solid state unit SSD with the same size and SATA port

    • Verify the laptop model. Remove the power cable.

    • The battery only requires to move a latch to the left. With this, it comes out by itself.

    • Remove the 2 screws. These are holding the plastic lid

    • Remove the three 5mm screws that hold the hard drive in place

    • Move the hard drive to the left to disconnect it from the SATA port

    • Lift the hard drive to remove it from the laptop

    • Remove the screws to put in the replacement
