Introduction

This guide will instruct you on how to remove the bottom cover. The removal of the bottom cover is necessary in order to replace any other components of the laptop.

    • Turn off and unplug the laptop.

    • Flip over the laptop so that the bottom backplate is exposed.

    • Use a T5 screwdriver to remove the six 3 mm screws that secure the backplate.

    • Use the same screwdriver to remove the two 7 mm screws.

    • Insert an opening tool under the bottom cover at the screen hinges, and gently pry the cover free.

    • Carefully work your way around the cover's edges to pop it off completely.

Any idea for previous model like acxxxx? The 5mm screw aren't visible, bit it's like if they are there. The corners won't come out. Is the screws hidden deep under the rubber pad? Removed the rubber, do we need to somehow remove the plastic part on which the rubber pad are glued? If so how? They seems to be glued on
