Introduction
If your FujiFilm FinePix S5100 camera has a back screen that is cracked, the viewfinder is cracked, or there is a delay with taking photos, use this guide to replace the back cover.
The back cover contains the LED screen that displays your photos after they have been taken, the viewfinder that frames your photos, and a ribbon cable to activate the camera shutter. A shattered glass display, viewfinder, or damaged ribbon cable may result in delayed photos or a poor viewing experience.
Step 3 requires you to remove the batteries of the camera. Please read the removing power/disconnecting batteries guide before beginning this step.
Before beginning, make sure to power off your camera completely.
