Introduction
Applicable to H4Bt engines.
The oil draining and level checks must be done on a flat and leveled surface.
Lifting the vehicle isn't necessary if you are thin enough to go under.
Change every: 20,000km/1 year under optimal driving conditions. Reduce the oil change interval (OCI) if driving under severe use cases.
Note: recommendations are given according to the French RTA's (Revue Technique Automobile) maintenance plan, matching Smart 453's maintenance plan in this case.
Please refer to the wiki defining what may be considered as a severe use case and to get the oil specifications.

Don't forget to reset the oil change indicator on the dashboard once finished !
