Introduction
This guide helps with taking the rear view mirror and the lock/unlock controls off and removing the headliner at the top of the windshield. This is helpful if you want to add a hardline connection for a radar detector or dashcam.

Before working on any components that have electrical connections, it is best practice to disconnect the battery.
-
Under the glovebox is a small pin that you can pull to open up the battery compartment.
-
Once that is open, the ground has a quick disconnect that you can loosen by opening up the clip and then pulling the connector up and off.
-
-
-
Use a #2 phillips head bit to remove 2 screws from each of the driver and passenger side sun visors. Be careful, the black finish can come off of the screw heads if you use too much force.
-
-
-
On each side of the piece of plastic that covers some screw holes, you can find some very small slits. Push a very narrow and flat spudger through to push on the clip. It should pop down. You need to do this on both sides.
-
With both clips unhooked, pull the piece off and set to the side.
-
-
-
After pulling the center controls out, there are two black torx 15 bolts you need to remove to allow the moulding to detatch.
-
The back one can be tricky to get with the mirror, but should come out with a little coaxing.
-
-
-
Carefully use a spudger to pry back the plastic from the frame. There are 2 connectors on each side and 2 in the center that need to get popped off for the piece to come off.
-
Carefully thread the center control module through the hole once you have the plastic off and set it down on a blanket.
-
Congrats! You've removed the headliner!

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
