    • Using the screwdriver, unscrew three screws.

    • Detach the bottom cover from the rest of the speaker by pulling the two in opposite directions.

These are not the screws I have in my bose speaker. These are standard TORX screws ( with 6 sides) bose uses a special 5 sided secure torx screw(with a dot in the middle of the hole). A screwdriver or a screw-bit for these screws is very hard to find. I am still searching for one

I just wanted to find out if any android port can be connected and work or they are specific. Also when hot wiring the cables, is there a particular pattern or anything goes?

    Obbo Benjamin -

How does one reattach the latch here exactly?

Bonjour, ces explications sont très claires mais il reste beaucoup à démonter et surtout on ne sait pas trouver la pièce défectueuse, sans parler d'en trouver une de rechange... Merci quand même mais le chemin est encore long pour réparer cet appareil...

    Henri -

I suppose if you could open that thing, which might be hard (every smartphone today :D) to impossible without destructing the whole thing (eg Apple usb 3.0 camera adapter) - I haven’t tried it yet -, it’s an easy thing to desolder the ports and replace them with some from eBay or any other platform to buy stuff.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Hi! Did you find where to buy It? I would like to replacement It.

Looks like this part is unobtainium from Bose. The PCB underneath has exposed connections. Some one could hack-up something. Maybe a hardwired cable.

Chris -

anyone know which 3rd part parts might work to replace this? not sure exactly what to search for, aux and mini USB to board parts?

@iFixit;

Do you have any suggestions here ?

The same thing happened with my unit ~ it seems there is some kind of cheap piece being used because I was very careful with my speakers. USB port is broken also

Security screws in the bottom of my impossible to get it, took me months to get it out

Base have no because assistance or parts

It’s pretty disgraceful considering the amount is cost and zero support

Any help would be amazing

Cheers

Helpful, but for most people, a moot fix, since can buy a wireless charger for under $30… https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/spea...
