The model is in the Q400A series (ASUS Q400A-BHI7N03). I put together this guide to assist you in determining if your laptop battery is bad, and how to replace it if that is the case.
Generally speaking, the more often the laptop is used, the shorter the battery life. An average service life of about three to five years can nevertheless normally be expected. If you noticed that your charged battery is draining more quickly than usual, consider replacing your battery to determine an accurate charging capacity. If you continue to notice significant drops in battery percentage, you should replace your battery.
Make sure to power down your device before you begin and take appropriate precautions.

Turn off the laptop.

Disconnect the charging cable from the laptop.

Flip the laptop over so that it is upside down.

Orient the laptop so that the battery is away from you.

Find the tab in the top left corner. With one finger, pull the tab to the left to the unlocked position.

While holding this tab in the unlocked position, gently pull the battery away from you.

To reinsert your battery, follow these instructions in reverse order. Remember to re-lock the tab in step 2.
