Over time, the fob battery will runs out of power from prolonged use. If you start to notice that the remote doesn't respond or you have to press its buttons multiple times to get the vehicle to respond, your remote needs a battery replacement.
If the remote stops responding and you do not have a CR2450 battery, you can still unlock the car using the key inside the fob, as shown in Step 2.

Insert the tip of the key or a spudger into the space where the key was and begin to pry the two parts of the fob apart.

Press on the controller, and if a red light is shown when pressed, battery replacement is a success.
To double-check, go to your Toyota Venza and press the unlock or lock button; if the car responds, the battery works perfectly fine.
