How to use ResMed AirSense 10 autoset
Background
The ResMed AirSense 10 is a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine. The device has an integrated humidifier and customizable settings. The ResMed Air10 was originally released in 2014 and was discontinued in 2023 in preparation for a newer model. ResMed sells their devices internationally, including the AirSense 10.
ResMed aims to serve patients with chronic respiratory conditions, including, but not limited to: Sleep Apnea, Asthma, and COPD. Originally, the AirSense 10 was sold for about $1,000, but refurbished models range from $400-$800. Though some other models of ResMed and competitor machines made headlines due to FDA recalls, the AirSense 10 did not see any major recalls or controversy in its time on the market. The AirSense 10 CPAP is one device in a family of related ResMed machines. In addition to the AirSense 10 CPAP, ResMed released the AirSense 10 Elite, AirSense 10 AutoSet, and the AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her. The AutoSet for Her was an AirSense 10 device that specifically tailored its AutoSet feature for women. The AirSense 10 CPAP has overwhelmingly positive consumer reviews. Negative experiences with the device appear to be the exception rather than standard user experience.
Before the release of the AirSense 10 in 2014, the AirSense 9 was available from 2010 to 2015. As a replacement, the AirSense 10 was much smaller and contained more advanced technology, including AutoSet options and sleep data tracking. In 2021, the AirSense 11 was released, advertising better automatic settings, data tracking, and a more compact design.
