Background
The BrightSign 4k digital signage player is a device which decodes video and audio to deliver 4k content.
The BrightSign 4k242 is the basic model of the 4k series. While looking at Brightsign's website it can be seen that 4k models are a tad bulkier to other versions, but do still have the capability to dual encode 4K and Full HD video simultaneously, abundant content support including HTML5, PoE+ (Type 2), plus networking and interactivity. While looking at future models the design has not changed from being bulky, but the only difference from the 4k242 model with future models would be LiveTV playback, USB button pads, HDMI 2.0 input, and interactive touch screen with kiosk presentations.
